There are two common type of quartz IR lamps used in Mark Andy flexographic presses: Medium wave lamps, with a "tipped overcap ceramic fitting and short wave lamps, with a metal sleeve and wire leads. We also supply the P-21841 replacement sockets for Mark Andy lamps.

Standard medium wave lamps have a ceramic fitting, and typically measure one-half inch in diameter. Unlike quartz halogen lamps, these are not sealed at the ends- the filament is attached to the caps to hold them on.

We supply the special sockets for these Mark Andy medium wave lamp with the "tipped-overcap" ceramic end fitting, under part number P-21841. It's a good idea to check the sockets when you replace your lamps, since a worn or broken socket can shorten lamp life considerably.
