The lamps are not directly connected to electrical power and have no electrodes. The Caprock brand CD/558394 / CD/558394D is a six inch iron-doped lamp designed to run up to 600 watts per inch, in a variety of systems to cure cans, folding cartons, tags, labels, cups, tubes, resilient flooring, plastic film, and glass. They are also used in flatbed inkjet printers including those by HP (F500, FB6100, HP 6, HP6), Nur (Expedio 3200, Expedio 5000,Expedio, Inspiration, Tempo, Tempo II, Tempo Q) and Scitex (XP2100, XP2300, XP2700, XP5100).
